Ouzo Lazaris is very impressive due to its rich scent caused by the strong anise and a variety of fragrant herbs (coriander, fennel, asteroid anise etc.). It is traditionally produced by distillation in copper stills and its anise flavor goes well with fried fish, grilled sardines, grilled octopus, fried squids, shrimps, steamed mussels, fresh seashells, kolokythokeftedes (zucchini fried balls), sun-dried tomatoes, potato salad etc.

How to serve: Inside a narrow and tall glass we place ice cubes or ice water. We serve the ouzo on top of them and we enjoy the unique way that this transparent drink becomes white.
